Welcome to Turkey Creek K9! Thank you for taking the time to look at our website and learn a little about us and what we do! We are a premier breeder located in rural Hudson Indiana on our beautiful 12 acre homestead. We believe in raising happy, healthy puppies and finding them their perfect forever homes is one of our top priorities.

We have worked hard to develop a program that focuses on our dogs health, temperaments, and variety of beautiful colors. Raising our puppies on our homestead gives them the opportunity to learn to be a dog by seeing, smelling, and hearing a huge variety of things, and giving them the best start to their lives.

Meet the Breeds

Bernedoodles

This hybrid breed was first introduced around 2003 and were bred for companionship. Bernedoodles are just the best mix of two worlds! When you cross the loyal Bernese Mountain Dog with the highly intelligent Poodle, you get puppies that are highly intelligent, loyal, and a lovable goofy personality! They are easy to train, in general, and are fantastic family dogs. And to top it off, they are low shedding! Bernedoodles do require regular grooming and are usually social dogs that enjoy interacting with humans and other dogs! They love attention and companionship! Bernedoodles are just as happy curling up on the couch as they are going on a hike with the family.

Goldendoodles

The Goldendoodle is a hybrid cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. As cute as they are sweet and loving, most Goldendoodles are also energetic and playful. They are intelligent, friendly and affectionate. They're usually easy to train, and are devoted their families. They often have a social personality and love to be with their humans! Though they have a low shedding coat, they do require regular grooming.

Bernese Mountain Dogs

The Bernese Mountain Dog is a large dog with a beautiful tri-colored coat. They usually weigh between 70-120 Ibs full grown. They are big, powerful dogs that absolutely adore their humans. They live to please their owners. They have a sweet affectionate nature and are generally a more placid breed, but they are always up for a walk or a romp in the park. Originally bred in Switzerland, they are all around dogs, good at drafting, herding, protecting a farmyard, and being wonderful family companions. Thanks to their calm spirit, and willingness to play, they are brilliant companions for children and wonderful family dogs. Berners do require regular grooming and daily brushing to care for their long luxurious coat.

Our pup, Elizabeth, came to us last Jan 5, 2021. Elizabeth came to us so confident, well adjusted and happy - we could tell she had spent her entire life being loved and exposed to new situations. Surprisingly though, the most special part of working with Turkey Creek K9 was not the initial perfect transaction. What makes the Turkey Creek K9 family so special is the connection and contact they keep after that initial transaction. Angie is the first person we contact when we have good or bad news to share. Most recently Elizabeth was at vet for eating something that caused a possible blockage. Angie not only offered us support but continued to check on Elizabeth until she was in the clear. During the busy holiday! It's so nice to know how much she cares about her puppies - even as they become adults. As we look to adding another dog to our pack in future, I know we'll use Turkey creek K9 again!

We are so incredibly happy with our sweet, fluffy, lovable, great tempered mini Bernedoodle pup we just brought home. Lucy (aka Paris) is the best pup and we credit it all to Angie and their awesome family. They were wonderful to work with. I flew from Dallas, TX to pick up our puppy, Juniper, formally Darcy. Angie made the experience so smooth, happily and throughly answered my million questions and FaceTimed for almost an hour so I could pick between two puppies. It's been very obvious that she really works with and invests into her puppies and she even helped her get used to a soft sided carrier for flying. She climbed right in by herself at the airport! Junie has crate trained quickly, walks super well on her leash and is picking up obedience training with ease. We'll be returning to her for another puppy and would highly recommend her as a breeder!

Turkey Creek was really great to deal with when we were looking for a dog for our family. Angie was awesome at communication and wanted to understand why we wanted a dog and what our needs were. She gave us examples of puppies she thought would fit well for our family. She answered all our questions up front as well. We met the dogs and she wanted us to think about our decision. We had some travel coming up and she worked with us on when we could bring the dog home. She went through all his paperwork and current training with us. She did some crate and leash training before we picked him up as well. She followed up with us after we got home and made sure things were going well. I cannot recommend Turkey Creek enough. A very good and loving family.
